Our Mission

Marrow Match is committed to raising awareness about the realities of marrow donation in order to grow the registry with viable, educated and dedicated donors.

We work to connect a donor for every patient in need by outspiring the community to join the registry and to fund it’s outreach. We believe (out)spiration will get it done!

Simply put (out)spiration is (in)spiration set free.

(In)spiration alone is like a box of unlit matches. They have the potential to light. They are “inspired” to light. But they remain trapped in the box until something happens.

Until that something happens, all of that potential to change, to burn, to transform will remain IN, only (in)spired. Nothing happens outside. For a match to light, it must strike against the flint. It must be acted upon to let “out” its desire to fulfill its purpose.

We are the same way. Inside us all are hopes, dreams and unlit talents waiting to be acted upon. But the difference is that there is not something out there that will strike us against the flint. Our (in)spiration must be acted upon from within by our courage to strike ourselves against our fears.

If we have the courage to set the incredible potential of our hopes, dreams and talents on fire within us, it will transform (in)spiration to (out)spiration.

Change (in)side will lead to change (out)side!

Our theory of (out)spiration is about setting the potential of (in)spiration free to do what it was created to do. A match was created to ignite and burn. The human was created for the same thing – to ignite the light of love within and to share it. If enough of this change happens within you and your circle of influence, then we will see the change we know is possible when millions of (out)spired people are willing to save a person’s life with a simple marrow or stem cell transplant.

Together, millions of (out)spired people can eradicate the loss of someone who could not find their match.
